Food donations to the Ukrainian people

Many families have been separated, left homeless, experiencing hardships.

“If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,  and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?  Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
(James 2:15-17)

Another wave of action in favor for the people of Ukraine has been mobilized by the Universal Church. In Bucharest, the capital of Romania, a special event in the Romexpo indoor arena, carried a message of faith and food for the refugee families. Donations were also made in the Ukrainian cities of Kiev and Lviv.

On May 21, thousands of refugees from Ukraine participated in an event promoted by the Universal Church in Bucharest. At the meeting, participants received bags containing food and personal hygiene products. The children were also given milk and sweets. “This is the work of the Universal Church. We not only help with physical food, but also with spiritual food. We had the moment of prayer, of the Word. We had a moment when we cried out for Ukrainian families and also for the whole Ukraine. I want to thank everyone from the Universal Church who made this event possible”, said Bishop Júlio Faustino, responsible for the Universal Church in Romania.

There were about 23 tons of donations, which came from the Universal in Belgium and Luxembourg, mainly. In Bucharest, the address of the church is: Sos. Fundeni, Nr 11 – Sector 2 – Bucuresti – 022312.

In Kiev and Lviv, Ukraine, the Universal Church donated non-perishable food, which came from the Universal in Portugal. Thus, about 2,000 families benefited from this action, which continues to take place. The city of Odessa, Ukraine, received water containers, also donated by the Universal in Portugal.
