The Fragrance of Christ

Those who are born of God fulfil His will, proclaim His Word, and through their actions, reactions, and choices, reveal God. Love, mercy, and kindness are exhaled like a pleasant fragrance, following the example of the Lord Jesus.

“For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.” (2 Corinthians 2:15)

With this in mind, our volunteers visited the Onnitalon Hoivan Nursing Home in Tammisalo, in the eastern part of Helsinki, on Monday, 12th August, bringing with them the fragrance of the Lord Jesus. Through a smile, a look of love and understanding, they brought joy to those who might sometimes feel rejected or forgotten by their families.

On this occasion, they sang traditional Finnish songs, enjoyed some games, and, most importantly, received the word of God through the book Secrets and Mysteries of the Soul by Bishop Edir Macedo, which had been previously donated by members of UCKG Apukeskus in Helsinki.
