10 STEPS TOWARDS SALVATION

Imagine in a stormy sea, where your boat is sinking and there is nothing around for you to hang on to. Suddenly, someone appears in a strong boat and extends his hand. Of course you will hold it, even without knowing the owner of the outstretched hand. You will always be grateful to the person who helped, in the hour of affliction, when death was surrounding you,  saving your life.

So does the Lord Jesus for us.
Even if someone doesn’t know Him well,
His hand is outstretched to deliver from death.

1st Step

Accept the Lord Jesus as the only and eternal Savior

Accepting, in the biblical sense, means, believing and following. Accepting the Lord Jesus means leaving the old life, turning your back on error, submitting to the Lord Jesus through His Word, denying yourself, taking up your cross and following Him. If so, the person is ready for anything. If she has to face a thousand and one barriers, she will; even if  resisting the whole world, that won’t be difficult.

Many say they accept Jesus, but change his name for others and don’t fully put their faith in Him. They say they accept Jesus, however they claim that “all paths lead to God.”

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
John 14:6

Accept Him as Saviour, for His hand is stretched out to deliver you from all evil and set you free completely.

All of God’s blessings are promised to those who believe and are baptized – and this must happen immediately after a person has accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Water baptism is the mortification of the deeds of the flesh, the burial of the old “I” and the birth of a new creature, cleansed and washed for a new life… A new life, so to speak, leaving aside old ways, bad habits, etc…

3rd Step

Take part in the deliverance meetings

To take part in our church meetings is something very important for those who sincerely want to have a new life, away from the presence of evil spirits.

At various times in the bible we see that the Lord Jesus expelled demons from the bodies of many people, but why? Because no one can be in light and darkness at the same time – either light dispels darkness, or darkness smothers light, so the only solution is to cast them out.

This is one of the main reasons why one who desires complete deliverance cannot fail to participate effectively in church deliverance meetings.

God intended man to be the temple of the Holy Spirit, but for this to happen it is necessary to live in the constant practice of His Word, otherwise the man is at the mercy of the evil spirits that want to control him.

Also called the seal of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13), this baptism is not intended to sanctify more the Christian, but to enable him to be a true instrument of the Spirit of God, in carrying out His Work, according to the prophecy:

4th Step

To seek the baptism in the Holy Spirit

““The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.””
(Luke 4.18,19; Isaiah 61.1).

5th Step

Avoid bad friendship

Our experience leads us to believe that one of the most important steps towards deliverance and salvation is to completely disconnect from companions who do not profess the same faith. The old saying goes: “Tell me who you are with and I’ll tell you who you are.” In fact, we have reason enough to regard this step as being of paramount importance to one’s salvation.

We have seen many people begin a glorious walk in the church and shortly thereafter be led away by bad company and stray from their fellowship. Try to make friends with people of the same faith and at all costs avoid conversations, discussions or contacts that could put your salvation at risk.

6th Step

Walk in Holiness.

The word “holy” means “set apart”. No one can hope to be delivered from Satan and his demons while doing their will. One who wants to serve God must walk according to HIS will. God desires holiness in our actions, intentions, in our ideals, yearnings, plans and where there is no daily effort to please Him there will also be no holiness.

Perhaps you think such a step is difficult, yet important for preserving your salvation. To pray without ceasing is to be always in the spirit of prayer, always in contact with God.

Our hands may be tied, but our spirits can still be linked to God’s.

Of course, silent prayers on your own, prayers in church, prayers on your knees, etc. are also included in this commandment.

As long as we are in prayer, always watching not to be deceived, Satan will find no room to enter our lives.

7th Step

Pray without ceasing and watch

8th Step

Read the Bible daily

Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.
(Psalm 119.105)

There can not be a perfect fellowship with God without the knowledge of His holy will. When Jesus defeated the devil, He did it using the Word of God. It is the sword of the Holy Spirit. When uttered by a servant of God, and with faith in the Lord Jesus, it produces extraordinary effects. The centurion asked the Lord Jesus to send just one word and his servant would be healed (Luke 7.2-10), just use your Faith in Lord Jesus based on the Word of God.

Simply put, the Word of God is the Holy Bible

The Church meetings are where members meet to praise the Lord and learn His Word, they are waters of refreshment for the thirsty Christian.
We need to feed our faith with the Word of Truth, which arms us against Satan’s snares.

9th Step

Attend the meetings dedicated for the members

10th Step

Be faithful in tithes and offerings

The Bible says in Malachi 3:10-11 that there is a devouring spirit, causing all misery and chaos in the lives of those who rob the Lord in tithes and offerings.

When God created man, He made him perfect and placed him over His creation, granting him the right and privilege to administer all goods on Earth but man could not touch the Tree that was in the center of the Garden of Eden, But why? That Tree was the tithe of God of all creation, hear the disobedience on the part of Adam and Eve and the rest of the story you should already know.

With the organization of the holy ceremonies, however, God required a tenth part of all the work of man. Among other reasons, He did this so that we would recognize Him as Lord of all things and the first and our lives, so we would consider ourselves His servants. If we are faithful to God, the Creator of all things, He will surely be faithful to us and will never let our sustenance fail.

Giving tithes and offerings means loving the Work of God and being concerned about carrying it forward:

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the Lord of hosts
