Thais Teles says that she had been tormented by spirits since childhood, couldn’t sleep and even thought about suicide. Find out how she freed herself from suffering.

Neuropsychologist Thais Renata Teles de Sousa, 25 years old, now transmits joy to everyone around her, but it wasn’t always like that. Born in the city of São Paulo, she was raised by her mother and maternal grandmother. Thais says that everything was going well until the day when, still as a child, she was “offered to spiritual forces in a satanic ritual carried out by a neighbor”.

From then on, she comments that she began to suffer severe disturbances. “Sadness was part of my days, I heard voices, I saw figures frequently and I felt a presence accompanying me at all times. I felt trapped, but I couldn’t ask for help. I was forced to obey the requests that those voices made to me, I was threatened and I was very afraid of punishment. When I didn’t obey, I was beaten by the spirits,” she says.

Thais explains that she tried to maintain the appearance of a happy and normal child, but, to the people around her, it was clear that she was not well, although no one knew what to do about her problems. “My mind was dominated by bad thoughts all the time, which caused me to panic. I felt my body heavy and the feeling that something was holding me down. Those thoughts were intensifying and moving me further and further away from reality. I was tormented day and night and my life was directed by those demons, who told me what I should or shouldn’t do,” she reports.

During her adolescence, she declared that the tenor of the voices changed and that she had a relationship with a demon: “the childhood suffering became worse, I manifested with entities, my whole body hurt and the despair in my soul was great. I started to have visions and receive all types of spirits, I could no longer sleep, I had no peace and I could no longer bear so much suffering.”

DIABOLICAL PLAN

Persuaded by the voice that dominated her mind, she even thought about suicide. “The voice said that I would only be happy if I ended my life to live with her, but first I needed to execute my family members and I even received instructions on how I should kill them. I was shaken, because I didn’t want to do that,” she says.

END OF DISTURBANCES

It was in this traumatic situation that, in 2014, at the age of 15, Thais was invited by a friend to participate in a meeting at Universal Church. She accepted the invitation and remembers that that day she felt good, but was “punished by the spirits” when she arrived home. Despite this, she did not give up seeking help. Participating in the deliverance meetings, held on Fridays, Thais says that she understood that there was an evil action in her life.

To overcome the suffering, she went through the deliverance process. “I started praying for God’s help and I felt a strength inside me. I learned about faith and how to overcome those demons. I discovered that I needed to give myself to God and fill myself with His Word and only then was my mind transformed”, she reveals.

After eight months, when she was free from disturbances, Thais was baptized in water. Next, she decided to fast and pray to receive the Holy Spirit. “I began to seek His Presence tirelessly. I fasted, prayed at dawn and read the Bible every day to feed on the things of God. One Sunday morning, as I sought the Holy Spirit, He came upon my life and the pain, emptiness and years of suffering became distant. I was overcome by immeasurable joy and the certainty that the Lord Jesus was with me. Today I am truly happy. I found peace for my soul and, since then, I have lived in obedience to God. His Word is the Voice that guides me”, she concludes.
