Initiative carries out blood donation campaign in 14 locations in Argentina

In January, group from the Universal Church ‘Ángeles de La Vida’ — “Angels of Life”, in English — promoted a large blood donation campaign in 14 different locations in Argentina. Considering the fact that a donation can help save up to four lives, the act of solidarity from the 686 donors that the initiative mobilised will benefit around 2,700 Argentines.
Although there was a special movement in the first month of the year, the social program — maintained by the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God — always effectively carries out actions like this, in favour of supplying the country’s blood centres. Proof of this is that, in 2023, more than 5,400 donors were counted, in the 109 campaigns organised, in 84 locations.
“Blood is a vital liquid. However, since it cannot be manufactured, the only way to acquire it is through voluntary and altruistic donation. To meet the need, we periodically carry out movements like this, in which members of the Church and supporters of other religious beliefs join this noble cause”, explains the person responsible for social work, José Alexandre Theodoro. He also states that due to constant awareness, the program does not encounter difficulties in mobilising volunteers.
Among those who, in January, made their contribution to help others is Daniela Matiolli. “It is very important to donate, because you never know when you will need it, and there are people in need at that moment, and hospitals are in need of blood.”
She was present at the action held in the city of Grand Bourg, where the Universal temple facilities were adapted so that collection could be carried out safely and effectively. Many participated for the first time, blood pressure was checked, breakfast and souvenirs were distributed, and the medical team thanked the number of donors and the reception they received.
