Everything we see and touch today will one day come to an end. But there is one thing that we have that will never end the “soul”.
What is worth more?
What has an expiration date or what has no end?
“When someone dies, the body decomposes, but what’s inside that body is priceless. It is the greatest wealth that a person has. That both poor and rich have in common, the soul that is inside of them that the devil and God want”, quotes Bishop Macedo.
God knows how precious the soul is and, as the devil cannot touch God, the only way to reach Him is to touch the souls. The value of a soul is so great to the Most High that He gave His only Son, the Lord Jesus, as a sacrifice to pay the price for the sin of the world. Yet God does not oblige anyone to give it to Him. “Jesus went to Calvary and gave His soul for yours. Your soul is not free. If you don’t give it up, you owe Him, but whoever gives himself has peace, a new life.” quotes Bishop Macedo.
As the soul is not visible, its surrender is not physical either, but it is the decision to lose one’s will to obey God.
And obedience requires attitudes that change the course of a person’s life. It is possible to see how the transformation takes place in those who let go of sin and decide to value their souls.
