Being in the world without God

Have you ever been in the situation of being alone in an unfamiliar place?

Whether in a neighbourhood, city or country, the unknown is always frightening, generating feelings of fear and insecurity.

A clear example of this is when a child goes to school for the first time. The child starts crying and doesn’t want to let go of the mother’s arms.

Could these feelings of fear and anxiety be compared to living in this dark and unfair world without God?

When we dive into the Word of God, we find the children of Israel living solitary lives because they were living far away from God.

That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.” (Ephesians 2.12)

Do you also experience feelings of loneliness despite having friends and family around you? There is a promise in the Bible that we would receive the Holy Spirit to comfort and help us in the midst of the most challenging battles. (John 14:18-31)

When you receive the Holy Spirit, you are no longer living in this world alone, but you have a companion with you wherever you go.

You can learn more about the Holy Spirit, and how you can receive Him by attending the Sunday Morning Service at 11am.
