Are we all God’s Children?

You may have heard the phrase, “we are all children of God”. But is this true? When we refer to the Bible, we see that this is far from reality. Although humanity was created by God, sin (which has accompanied the world since the Garden of Eden) took away the status of being a child of God. In fact, the Lord Jesus came into the world precisely to reconnect the creature to the Creator. Faced with this, the question that remains is: how does a person become a child of God?

To be born of God, one has to die to the world, that is to sinful habits. As it is written: “Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” (John 14:23).

When a person receives the Holy Spirit, they receive God’s DNA in them which means they become a child of God.

If there’s one thing the devil fears the most, is seeing people become a child of God. Therefore, he works to block people’s understanding so that the light of the gospel does not reach them. And to those who are already children, he works as he did with the Lord Jesus, trying to plant a seed of doubt: “If You are the Son of God…” (Matthew 4:6). However, the Holy Spirit testifies within the person that he is truly a child of God.

If you would like to know more on this subject and develop your relationship with God you are invited to attend the services every  Wednesday at the Universal Church. Bring a bible if you have one!
